PCB design and layout, built for manufacturing

A correct schematic can still become a failing product if the layout is wrong. Placement, grounding, return paths and copper for heat decide whether the board passes testing on the first spin.

We lay out boards from your schematic or ours, and we check them for manufacturing before the Gerbers leave our office.

The work

What's included

Placement and routing

Component placement planned around signal flow, heat and assembly, then routing with controlled lengths where it matters.

Grounding and power integrity

Ground and power planes, decoupling and current paths designed together.

Noise and EMI

Separation of noisy and sensitive sections, short return paths and filtering to help the product pass emission tests.

Thermal design

Copper areas, thermal vias and placement for regulators, drivers and power stages.

DFM and DFA checks

Checks against your fabricator's and assembler's rules, so the board is built as designed.

Layer stack-up

2, 4, 6 and 8 layer stack-ups, special finishes such as ENIG, and impedance needs agreed with the fabricator.

Before you ask

Common questions

Can you lay out a schematic we designed?

Yes. We review your schematic first and raise anything that will affect the layout, then design the board.

Do you fabricate the boards as well?

We arrange fabrication and assembly of prototype and production boards through our partners, billed at cost as materials in the quotation.

How long does a quotation take?

We reply within 2–3 working days of your request. The quotation lists the scope, milestones, estimated hours per role and material costs.
